Peace out 2018, good riddance, sayonara, hasta la vista, adios, auf wiedersehen, au revoir, tchau, and a big ol’ deuces to 2018. This past year brought a lot of new faces, the return of old friends, and marked the biggest year for IndyMojo to date.
After eight years of bringing bass–fueled mischief to Indianapolis, hitting a PR of eight sold out shows, YES EIGHT, it’s time to wrap up the year and go out with a bang.
IndyMojo is kicking off New Year’s Eve in the only way we know how, with a double header finale that is guaranteed to be epic! You could also say “it’s gonna be lit fam!” We want to do this one right, so here’s a more formal invitation:

Now you have your invite, and maybe you need to get educated on what exactly you’re getting yourself into, so we broke it down for you.
Artifakts has set a new standard for what usually comes to mind when you think of electro soul. Drawing inspiration from both old school and new school, he takes the genre and gives it even more soul than usual by adding a little personal flavor. He has no limits when he pulls from musical influences. Using anything from funk to hip hop, and even to jazz, he’s created a distinct sound and style setting himself apart from many major power players. Everyone else making moves in the game.
Artifakts, also known formally as Garret Meyer, doesn’t keep himself restricted into one category. He can create music for relaxing nights at home to sit down and chill, but then is able to create music that is guaranteed to have you moving and grooving all night. Using the contrast of all the different styles he incorporates, his set will leave you guessing, “what is he going to drop next?”
He adds personality and blends it with many different styles that he’s gained various artists’ attention and been able to work with other big names in the scene. Collaborations with guys like Marvel Years, Daily Bread, Sunsquabi, and even Griz to create more styles to add to his repertoire.
There’s no doubt that his unique style will be the perfect soundtrack for our final hurrah of the year. Now that it is the end of a run of weeks that were jam packed full of great artists, Artifakts is guaranteed to wrap it up by bringing feel good tunes to help us commemorate a great year.

For our final trick of 2018 we are giving you a night that is going to be one for the books, because Minnesota is back! It’s been two years since we last had him in town. There’s no doubt that this seasoned veteran will throw down, so let’s welcome him back with style.
Minnesota, or Christian Bauhofer if you’re a close friend, is setting himself apart from other artists in the scene. Despite how young he is compared to other big hitters in the scene, he’s holding his own and redefining dubstep by adding his own flavor to what he produces.
By creating taking what he’s described as glitch-hop, he mixes a melodic style with heavy bass and creates a sound that has set him apart. With each track he produces he blends together different styles to create one sound that is guaranteed to get you moving.
His ability to transition between a song like “California Dreamin” and follow it with something dedicated to the headbangers and then smoothly go into a downtempo track, the fluidity he creates showcases skills few can replicate. There’s no whiplash or confusion on what’s happening between each song, it’s just smooth and natural from one track to the next.
His abilities with live mixing and his musicality have taken him a step beyond the average dubstep artist. With everything he’s put out he continues to to keep stepping outside of the box and never restricting himself to one genre of electronic music.
We’ve been waiting for him to come back since the last time he was here in 2016. No matter what he brings to The Vogue on the 29th, if it’s an original or a mixed track, Indianapolis will be in for a treat. Closing the year with Minnesota is the epitome of what has been a huge year, with nights of music filled memories and we are adding one more. Don’t skip this one, because we can guarantee the memories will be better celebrating with all of you who spent your 2018 with IndyMojo.
