What happens when three musicians become so talented that genre stops mattering?

You end up with the conglomeration that is Beats Antique. Musically intricate, Beats Antique sends listeners on a magical auditory world tour. A unique ability to transcend genre and pull a bit of everything into their work allows for a truly one of a kind experience.

Frequently described as world music merged with the ever growing electronic dance music scene, Beats Antique is back at it again, changing the face of musical performance with Creature Carnival. Combining the electronic eloquence that is Beats with the oddities of a carnival, this traveling North American performance is more than a concert.

The music reflects the fun that carnivals can be, the craziness they can present, and the thrills that can arise in a musical journey featuring live performances – including Zoe Jakes- member of Beats Antique. A talented performer, Jakes skill in belly dancing led to her integral  role in the group, extending the auditory prowess of other two members, David Satori and Tommy Cappel, into a performance group as well.

Showcasing music from their new album, Beats Antique has done more than create an album tour with Creature Carnival. Certain stops on the tour will feature performances alongside Beats Antique, from Shpongle, Emancipator, Lafa Taylor, and- for those heading to the show at The Vogue in Indianapolis- Moon Hooch. Certain to add to the carnival feel, Moon Hooch will surely amaze you: have you ever seen someone play a traffic cone?

So, ladies and gentleman, grab your tickets and fasten you seat belts, Creature Carnival is here to amaze you.

And it will do exactly that.

I’d really love to go to this. I think both of these groups of artists are amazing in their own ways and it’s going to be an incredible show. I have seen Moon Hooch a couple of times and I think what they do is rather unique and just an absolute blast.

My only opportunity to see Beats Antique was at Summer Camp 2014. As I was preparing to leave for their set from my campsite, I stumbled upon a secret moe. set for that year’s Camp Counseler. I then spent most of Beats Antique’s set running around trying to find my big-time moe.ron buddy and lead him to that secret set. By the time I found him and that ended I was only able to see two or three songs of the Beats Antique set. I’d really appreciate another opportunity to see them again.

Hey Indy Mojo. I would love to win tickets because my boyfriend really wants to go! Beats are one of our favorite bands and he has never been to a show. I would love to be able to surprise him and be his plus one. :)

Hi mojo team! I would absolutely love to win these tickets. I have had the pleasure of seeing beats one time in Chicago, and it was hands down one of the best experiences of my life. I would really appreciate the opportunity to see them again. I would be the happiest person in the world if I got to see Zoe belly dancing tomorrow night!!! Thanks for your consideration and being awesome :)

I love Beats Antique, but have yet to see them perform live! I have had 2 opportunities to see them at music festivals, and I missed both! I had to leave Electric Forest a day early due to a pregnancy and I passed out extremely drunk at Summer Camp and slept through Beats Antique and Primus. So, moral of the story is I really want to win tickets to this show! Thanks for the opportunity

Let me start by saying that in high school grade I wrote a paper about Burning Man. I was doing research and I stumbled upon a video of a lovely lady belly dancing on a stage and hooping to music my ears had never heard before…it was Beats Antique. I was intrigued and started listening to their music that day. Years later, I’ve still not yet seen the magic for myself. I have my own creature carnival at home (4 kids, 5 if you count my boyfriend, and a dog) and this would be the most splendid way for me experience something I’ve been waiting to do for years. Pick me guys!
